Hello stars!

Just a quick note to say congratulations on a job well done!  The reviews are in -- well, if you count raves from our friends and family as reviews -- and we've been grinning ear to ear with all the lovely responses. 

Every one of you was absolutely wonderful today, and you should be very proud of yourselves for all of your hard work, dedication and collaboration.  Any production would be lucky to have each one of you in the cast!

If any of you or your family have photos from today's performance, please email or text them to Mrs. Allee  so that we can put them in the Gallery.

We'll send you a note when the actual performance video is available to view online.  (Thanks to Mr. Hansen-Sturm for the expert recording today!)

Tomorrow is our big day!  PLEASE MEET AT CD AT 8:45AM TOMORROW IN COSTUME AND READY TO PERFORM! We do not have access to a dressing room, so please arrive in costume.

Our performance is next week, can you all believe it?

You have done AMAZING work as individual actors as well as team players! If you haven't already looked at the Gallery and the Videos, please do.  It's been a wild and wonderful ride bringing this play to life.  (We will post more photos after the performance!)  Mrs. Hansen-Sturm also created an amazing photo montage in the CAVA Community Day Yearbook to highlight our journey together.

Just a reminder to go over your lines this week so you are sure to know all of them by next week's performance!

For those of you who have not shown us your costumes, please send us a photo ASAP so we can approve your choice!  

We are meeting at CD next Tuesday IN COSTUME AND READY TO PERFORM at 8:45AM!  The Jackal, the Tiger and the Soldier will have their makeup done by Heidi and Cadence.  Our performance is at 9:30 in the High School Room. 

We will send out a reminder email later this week.

You have all done exceptional work and should be very, very proud of yourselves!  Let's have a great show!

Tomorrow is our last rehearsal before the performance next week!  We are going to work for two hours instead of one to make sure we are prepared for the show.  PLEASE HEAD UPSTAIRS TO THE HIGH SCHOOL ROOM  IMMEDIATELY AFTER CD TO GET STARTED!

A reminder:  If just one of you drops out or doesn't show up, we will be unable to do the show.

Just a reminder that we have rehearsal in the high school room tomorrow after Community Day.  PLEASE HEAD UPSTAIRS IMMEDIATELY AFTER CD!  We are very short on time, and we need to make the most of our scheduled time together!  

Please plan on attending the remaining two rehearsals and the performance.  If just one of you drops out or doesn't show up, we will be unable to do the show.

Costume Guidelines for All Characters!

Costume Guidelines

We will hand out hard copies of these guidelines at rehearsal tomorrow!

The strength of our show is in the performance of all the characters, so we do not need elaborate costumes!  Be creative in your interpretation of your character – hand painted clothing and homemade accessories are encouraged!  You are NOT expected to spend money or buy a premade Halloween costume.

When putting together your costumes, follow the basic costume guidelines below.

Greetings Drama Club!

Raine is feeling under the weather, so I'm stepping in for the update this week.

First, we had a great rehearsal this past Tuesday, despite a few absences.  Please let us know if you are going to miss any upcoming rehearsals.  We have a limited amount of time left to get our show ready for the performance!

With that in mind, here's the schedule:

Rehearsal Tomorrow, April 1, After CD!

Hope everyone had a great Spring Break! 

Don't forget our rehearsal from 12:00-1:00 tomorrow, after CD in the high school room.  Please make sure to go over the script and your lines at least one more time before the meeting, and don't forget your script.

March 22 Play Update

Hi everyone!

     This is a short update as we all prepare for a fun Spring Break week!

     This past Tuesday we finished blocking Act 2.  Great work, everybody!  Please make sure to start learning your lines so that we can make the most of our time together.  Read over the script a few times before our next meeting.  If you lost your copy of the script, please let us know and we will email you the Word file. 

     Over the break we will be figuring out the props, costumes and set design.  Thanks to Heidi and Cadence for all their great work on makeup so far.

     Make sure to take a look at CAVA Burbank CD Drama Club for pictures from the last rehearsal!

     I'm looking forward to seeing you when we get back to CD.

We've finished blocking the play! Everyone practice your lines over Spring Break and we'll fine tune our performance at the next rehearsal. Stay tuned for an update/recap from Raine tomorrow!

Everyone make sure to bring your scripts to rehearsal tomorrow!  If you need another copy, please let us know and we will email you a file. 

Be sure to go over your lines a few times before tomorrow, too.  If you haven't read through the entire play yet, make sure to do so.
