The CAVA Burbank CD Drama Club was an extracurricular club organized by the CAVA Burbank CD Student Council, co-chaired by Council members Raine Allee and Nick Hansen-Sturm. It was founded in 2019. Our 2019 CAVA teacher/sponsor for this club was Mrs. Janine Burns and our parent sponsors were Mrs. Laurie Allee and Mrs. Stephanie Hansen-Sturm. You can reach us here.
We organized, produced and performed the very first CAVA Burbank CD School Play in the Spring of 2019:
The Tiger, the Brahman and the Jackal and The Stone in the Road written by Raine Allee: an original comedy adaptation of two folk tales from our CAVA textbooks Classics for Young Readers.
The Tiger, the Brahman and the Jackal and The Stone in the Road written by Raine Allee: an original comedy adaptation of two folk tales from our CAVA textbooks Classics for Young Readers.
The director of the play was Raine Allee in collaboration with her co-chair Nick Hansen-Sturm.
Rehearsals were held from 12:00-1:00PM after CD every Tuesday of the second semester, culminating in a great performance on June 4. 2019.
We have been dedicated to fun and creative expression, inclusivity and collaboration!
CAVA CD was cancelled for the 2019-2020 school year, thus ending our club. Stay tuned to this space or reach out to us to be added to a mailing list for future developments or a possible reboot of the club!
